Abstract: A product obtained by culture of Candida tropicalis on n-paraffins contained crude protein 56.6, ether extract 11.0, N-free extract 21.4, ash 11.0, P 2.0 and Ca 0.2% in DM. When the product was mixed with the same amount of wheat bran, 1.5 kg, and given with hay to 4 Kankrej bullocks average digestibilities were protein 95.7, ether extract 61.9 and organic matter 92.9. Average daily balances were N 29.7, P 4.1 and Ca -0.5 g, indicating that fodders rich in Ca or a Ca supplement should be given along with the product.
