Abstract:

Monitoring of atrazine in surface and groundwater in extensive maize production areas of the Transvaal Province of the Republic of South Africa was done from September 1991 to February 1992. In about 20 percent of both surface and groundwater samples atrazine residues were detected and the identity of the pesticide confirmed using ion trap detection.
