Abstract:

During 1999-2000, samples of rumen contents were obtained from 8 mature domestic goats (Capra hircus) at slaughterhouses in Adana and Urfa, Turkey. E. bubali, previously not observed in any host animal species from Turkey, was detected for the first time in the obtained rumen samples in goats from Adana, with a frequency of 37.5%.
