Abstract: The identification of the fungus P. gammae infecting the larvae of Plusiinae in Manfredi (Córdoba, Argentina) and Rafaela (Santa Fe, Argentina) is reported. P. gammae was registered through all the presence of Plusiinae, even with low host densities. During this study P. gammae was identified as a frequent natural enemy of soyabean pest populations in Argentina. The identified fungus would have interesting features as a potential biological control agent of soyabean loopers.
