Abstract:

Pre-school teaching can be made easier and interesting by using different and appropriate teaching strategies. Studies conducted on 58 purposively selected schools in rural, urban, and peri-urban areas in Hisar district in Haryana, and in Chandigarh (India) revealed that there were discrepancies between school-reported data and the observations made by researchers on aspects such as curriculum planning, implementation, selection and use of appropriate teaching strategies. Results also revealed that there was not much difference as far as cultural setting was concerned.
